Amnesty Intl and local Palestinian group to host historic first joint meeting in Hastings

In a significant development for Hastings, Amnesty International and the Hastings’ Palestine solidarity group are to hold their first ever joint meeting on the subject of Israeli Apartheid. Katy Colley writes.

‘Stilled’ at The Stables

Gilad Atzmon Trio play Jazz Hastings in July

Hastings Young Writers seeks submissions for latest anthology

Hastings Young Writers group is compiling its 2022 anthology and is inviting contributions from anyone aged under 18 years, from Hastings and surrounding areas. Liz Caluori encourages local young writers to submit their creative writing and poetry.

It’s Refugee Week all week and all across town!

This year, Refugee Week (20–26 June) will see a unique series of creative actions and events taking place in multiple locations across Hastings & St Leonards and beyond, which highlight and value the migrant experience, promoting the Refugee Week 2022 theme healing through creativity and conversations. Alex Kempton shares the plethora of events across the town – culminating with the Sanctuary Festival from 11am–7pm at Hastings Museum on Sunday 26 June.
