Dance, drumming and meditation workshops starting soon in Hastings

A series of workshops led by Laurie Temple will take place every Thursday from 10 October at The Beacon, 67-68 St Mary’s Terrace, Hastings. Entitled The Joy of Life, the workshops contain a variety of exercises, from both East and West, that aim to quieten the mind and help to connect peacefully and creatively with the present moment. Paul Way-Rider reports.

Transition Town hastings are hosting this supper event with Tristram Stuart, Craig Sams & Abby Nicol on  September 28, 7pm–10pm at Home Ground Kitchen. Speakers will be discussing issues around sustainable food production, food waste, food sovereignty and soil health.

Penny Pepper and others in the town are serious about accessibility and inclusivity in Hastings and St Leonards. Recently she wrote about the importance of event organisers considering wheelchair users, people who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, those who experience chronic fatigue, ill health and pain issues, and those with mental health issues and sensory impairments.
