Dance, drumming and meditation workshops starting soon in Hastings

A series of workshops led by Laurie Temple will take place every Thursday from 10 October at The Beacon, 67-68 St Mary’s Terrace, Hastings. Entitled The Joy of Life, the workshops contain a variety of exercises, from both East and West, that aim to quieten the mind and help to connect peacefully and creatively with the present moment. Hastings Fringe supports two local charities with special evening performances

Dance, film and music at AfriKàBa festival

Hastings is host to a series of events celebrating African and Caribbean heritage, arts and culture through dance, film and music. The AfriKàBa festival commences on 3 October in conjunction with Black History Month. Zoya Mathison reports.
