Hastings Burlesque supports Hastings Furniture Service with debut show

Hastings and Rother Furniture Service (HFS) is delighted to announce that all proceeds from Hastings Burlesque’s debut show at the White Rock Theatre are to be donated to the local furniture charity.

Further clampdown on accountability

Whatever happened to openness and transparency at HBC? asks Chris Hurrell of the Save Ecclesbourne Glen campaign. Changes to the Constitution of Hastings Borough Council were approved by full Council without any discussion by councillors in July 2017. These changes have removed the rights of the public to have certain planning applications considered by the Planning Committee.

Light fantastic

Cafes started popping up and now art galleries are joining in the vibrancy and change happening around St Leonards on Sea, which can only be a good thing, since there are so few galleries for St Leonards’ artists to exhibit in. One of the latest ones to open their doors is Solaris run by art digital printer, Alexandra Drawbridge. HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths went along to see Solaris’ first solo show by photographer Lucinda Wells: In search of the Real: Lucent.

Seeking local energy champions
