Sonita whispers to camera

Incredible true story of girl banned from singing

Labouring on

HOT’s Sean O’ Shea discusses Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s recent relaunch bid dubbed by the media as ‘the day of chaos.’ He also reviews the position of the Labour Party with regard to electoral reform and progressive alliances, reflects on the party’s prospects for 2017 and asks: will it rise to the challenge ahead?

In the view of the Save Ecclesbourne Glen group, this is, or was, probably the last chance to shield visitors to the Country Park from views of the much disliked building. Nick Terdre reports.

Laurie Temple writes.

Saving our legendary lifeboat II

This is the second part of HOT’s Chandra Masoliver‘s interview with Dee-Day White and John ‘Tush’ Hamilton, timed to coincide with the film showing and concert this Friday 20 January at St Mary in the Castle, raising funds for the restoration of the former Hastings lifeboat, the ‘Cyril and Lilian Bishop’, known as the ‘Lily Bish’. (See link below for Chandra’s first article.)
