This year’s theme was ‘Stade Winter’ and the three judges – Council Leader Jeremy Birch, Yasmin Ornsby, Chair of the Stade Partnership, and professional photographer John Cole – were delighted by the variety of photographers, student, amateur and professional, who participated in the fourth year of this competition. They were also impressed by the creative breadth of vision shown in the 170 images that were submitted. Cath Tajima-Powell, the competition co-ordinator, tells us why Pete Waldron’s image was a winner.
