KEEP  OFF YOUR LAND: Council proposes to restrict use of the Country Park

Hastings Borough Council (HBC) is proposing to change the bylaws of the Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve regarding ‘Restriction of Access’.  The reason are unclear, and at best general. Using exercise as medicine (plus literary events from 11 Feb onwards)

We are so familiar with the old saying that exercise is good for you that we no longer pay any attention to it. But it’s true! There is a deluge of recent research demonstrating the benefits of exercise – a wonder drug, they say. Exercise benefits both our bodies and our minds. Hastings United Football Club helps to get kids reading

On Wednesday 29 January Hastings United Football club launched their book corner offering free children’s books as part of a new campaign, ‘Read Your Way’, aimed at improving reading levels in children and young people in Hastings.

Evening of strings with London Mozart Players on Friday

String music is the theme at St Mary in the Castle this Friday when the London Mozart Players return to Hastings for the second concert in their LMP by the Sea series. The finale will see them joined by 100 young string players from the area, writes  Nick Terdre.
