On Wednesday 29 January Hastings United Football club launched their book corner offering free children’s books as part of a new campaign, ‘Read Your Way’, aimed at improving reading levels in children and young people in Hastings.
String music is the theme at St Mary in the Castle this Friday when the London Mozart Players return to Hastings for the second concert in their LMP by the Sea series. The finale will see them joined by 100 young string players from the area, writes Nick Terdre.
A well attended night at St Mary’s and the crowd were clearly here to see both bands in action. Nick Weekes was sitting in a balcony box taking notes.
