Warm welcome for the Frost Fair

Christmas came early for St Leonards, in the form of the Frost Parade and Frost Fair on Saturday 28 November. As always on important occasions, HOT’s favourite photographer, JJ Waller, was there to cover the parade, market and general fun. Scroll down to see the day through JJ Waller’s eyes.

The perfect Christmas 2014 gift for St Leonards lovers…

Brighton-based photographer JJ Waller first visited St Leonards in 2008, and fell under the spell of the area. Since then he’s made more than 60 visits with his camera, documenting the streets and the people of the town. HOT’s Erica Smith met up with him to find out what attracts him to S’Lens, as he affectionately calls our town.

A young person with rainbow stripes painted on their cheeks smiles. They are wearing sunglasses in the shape of clouds and a headband with 2 rainbow Pride flags waving in the wind. Photographer JJ Waller documents the holiday fun.

Three cheers for Queer on the Pier!

Photographer JJ Waller spent a gay Saturday on Hastings Pier capturing the crowds and the performers who all had fun whilst fundraising for Hastings and Bexhill MenCap. JJ said, “It was a celebratory event in classic Hastings & St Leonards style, topped by the headline experience of the unique and unparalleled Drag Syndrome.”
