Neighbourhood plan takes shape in West St Leonards

The first neighbourhood plan in Hastings borough is coming together with the organising body, the West St Leonards Forum, preparing to submit a proposal for its designated area to the council and hoping to have its plan put out to referendum next year. Nick Terdre reports.

The Devil’s Doorbell reinterprets Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

The final part of local writer (and director, actor and producer) John Knowles’ trilogy refocusing Twelfth Night has been performed in Hastings.  Soon it will be performed at the new Shakespeare North Theatre in Prescot, Lancashire. Bernard McGinley saw the play.

Weather extremes ease in August

Hastings residents say #StopRwanda deportations

Protests took place around the UK on Monday (5 September) to coincide with a legal challenge to the UK Government’s plan to forcibly deport innocent refugees to Rwanda. Gabriel Carlyle and Nick Terdre joined the Hastings demonstration.
