Fred Cuming RA at Rye Festival

Bridgepoint, Rye are delighted to host an exhibition of work by Fred Cuming RA to support the Rye Arts Festival’s education programme. To celebrate nearly 90 years, 50 years based in the area, Cuming has chosen a selection of paintings and sketches, including his sketches for a portrait of Stephen Hawking.

Bohemia Walled Garden: 10 year celebration

Drum circle to raise funds for African women

Alison Surridge, a drumming master trained by Djembe African nationals, is running a drumming circle at Lizzie May’s African fundraising night at Cambridge Hall at 7pm on Saturday 5 October, opposite ESK in Cambridge Road in Hastings.

Hastings Quakers arrested as arms fair set-up delayed

Hastings Quakers were among a large number of protesters arrested during a day of non violent action against one of the world’s largest arms fairs in London,as the local group report.
