HOT reporter Lauris Morgan-Griffiths thought that the latest Jerwood hang might have been overlooked in view of their recent popular exhibitions – Gillian Ayres and Knock Knock, 7 Artists in Hastings, so she went down to take a look.

The headline in a recent Independent on Sunday article states : “George Osborne digs himself a hole : ‘Uneconomical’ roads to get go-ahead”. The IoS‘s journalist, Jane Merrick, goes on to report on the Department for Transport’s analysis of the Bexhill Hastings Link Road and how money should be spent on repairing existing roads, not building new ones, writes HOT’s Zelly Restorick.

Painting the town red

Last Thursday’s East Sussex County Council elections saw Labour tighten its grip on the town’s politics, gaining three of the eight seats up for grabs locally to take its tally in Hastings to 7.  Chris Connelley casts an eye over the local election results.
