And so my dip into the waters that are ‘Plenty of Fish’ online dating comes to an end…and with one noticable exception (Yes, you! I was a fool to let you slip through my fingers!) it’s been more a case of innumerable plankton. A Hastings belle recounts her experiences with online dating.

When I first arrived in Hastings I was impressed to see Opera SouthEast perform here and see other touring opera and ballet appear at the White Rock Theatre. As a cultural centre, I thought, surely Hastings ‘punches above its weight’? This did not prepare me for the wonderful performances of my favourite (Mozart) operas being performed over the last four years by the ‘Complete Singer Advanced Course‘ at St Mary in the Castle, writes HOT’s Chris Cormack.
On yet another cold Tuesday evening at the Pilot Field, Hastings went in search of their first league win since November. Defeated only once at home this season and now in the relegation battle, the U’s had it all it to play for. HOT’s Liam Willis reports.
The long-awaited BBC South-East programme on local historian Nick Austin’s theory of where the Battle of Hastings really took place is now scheduled to be shown on Monday 4 February at 7.30pm.
