Planning puzzlement

HOT writer, Zelly Restorick, is no stranger to the many development and planning projects which reshape the town and the area in which we live. However, acquaintance with the projects has not brought enlightenment about how the system works, rather frustration over the apparent untouchability of planners’ decisions.

Young rowers wanted!

An opportunity to try out rowing at sea is on offer from Hastings Rowing Club, which is also preparing a crew to row halfway across the English Channel to raise funds for charity. Nick Terdre reports.

Knitting for change

‘Knitting for Change’ is a concept brought to life in the form of a knitted graffiti wall. The project, which was supported by Hastings Borough Council, is currently on display at Hastings Museum on Bohemia Road. The wall is made from donated wool and recycled knitted garments. The knitted installation was led by a mother/daughter collaboration, as the mother, Linda Moffatt, explains.
