Wanted: people to populate the HOT events calendar

HOT’s Erica Smith asks “What’s going on?”

I am one of the volunteers who writes for HastingsOnlineTimes. I’ve just put up an article for Amy Walker and Lisa Harmer about the Women’s Film Festival which is running this Sunday at Kino-Teatr. Lisa pointed out that the event isn’t listed in our online events page… and she’s right. In fact – not much is listed in there at all at the moment…

Now Covid is no longer seen as such a serious threat, more events are going on. So if you are a venue or an events manager – or just someone who likes going out and might get free tickets if you promise venues or events managers to add their events to the HOT calendar – please get in touch!

Adding events is easy!

Adding events is simple, you just need to be issued with a password and username and we can show you how to add events in minutes – via Zoom, a phone call, face-to-face or just by sending you some simple instructions.

What kind of events do we want to promote?

If you visit the Events Guide, on the right hand side it shows all the kinds of events that we’d like to showcase. There’s lots of potential for different people to take on populating the calendar with different events. If you think there’s a gap in our categories, then tell us – we can add more categories.

Why not buddy up with a venue in exchange for free tickets!

This is a volunteer role, but for the right people it’s an easy and satisfying thing to do and might lead to free nights out for you!
