The return of The Time Machine

Covid-19 came along just in time to put a damper on St Leonards’ exploration of H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine during April. The A Town Explores a Book festival rapidly adjusted to become an online event, but the closure of the shops and restrictions on public open spaces meant that many of the events, exhibitions and shop window displays could not happen at all.

Lee’s call to preserve Hastings’ statues and monuments

As a critical eye is turned on statues and monuments across the land, Cllr Rob Lee has called on the council to defend the town’s heritage and take action to preserve our statues and memorials. Kitty loves Ms Kitty’s lullabies

Beautiful tabby, Oscar, has a thing about The Fabulous Red Diesel. Every night at 9pm, when Ms Kitty, singer from the band plays her lullabies over Facebook Live, Oscar’s owner, Susanne, goes onto the stairs, calls “Oscar, come listen to Kitty”and he comes rushing into her
