Hotel becomes a gallery space for local artists

Premier Inn today announces its support for arts charity, Project Art Works, which will result in eight pieces of previously unseen artwork being displayed on the walls of a number of Premier Inn hotels.

Exploring Windrush

Following a few extraordinary weeks during which a passport was placed in Michael Braithwaite’s hand and his fight for the right to remain working and living in the UK was resolved pending compensation, he joins Sussex experiential theatre company ExploreTheArch and fellow Windrush generation musicians in a new summer production – The House after Windrush – which opens on Monday 6 August.

D-Construction: observations

We are so lucky in this town to have so many free events to attend and enjoy – and Stade Saturdays are a fantastic part of the yearly programme. Recently, D-Construction came to the Stade; a mesmerising, totally absorbing performance… something that made the heart thump a little faster. Help reduce single-use plastic bottles

The Refill campaign, which aims to minimise the use of single-use plastic drinking bottles in Hastings, is run jointly by Hastings Green Party, Transition Town Hastings and Surfers Against Sewage. Local businesses are encouraged to put a Refill sticker in their window to say that they’re willing to refill drinking water bottles for free. The scheme has an App to download, which gives the location of participating businesses.
