Sara Lee Trust celebrates Hastings and Rother Therapy Month

After a successful launch last year, the Sara Trust Lee Trust are once again looking forward to their Hastings and Rother Therapy Month this March. Looking to repeat their previous success, the Trust are seeking therapists and counsellors to volunteer their services in a bid to promote the positive impact therapy and counselling can have one’s mental health and well-being, writes Jordan Dixon.

What would we do without them?

Here is a startling revelation about an army of volunteers. According to the NCVO, an estimated 12.7 million people volunteer in England once a month and in talking to three of them, it dawned on me that volunteering is… work. Often it’s hard and sometimes thankless work. I also found that the reward for such free labour is not just the warm glow you get from helping other people, though that is certainly part of it. Mayor opens new Sara Lee shop in Ore
