Andy Wall Whores’ digital Factory…

For one day only on Monday 29 October there will be a digital audio-visual ‘Happening’ at Trinity Gallery in Hastings Town Centre. The ‘Andy Wall Whores’ event intends to create something new out of the spirit and legacy of Andy Warhol as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Andy Warhol’s classic 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans.

St Leonards Town Team gets the thumbs up!

Today, Tuesday 23 October, St Leonards Town Team were officially signed up to the national Town Team Partner scheme. This is a new initiative co-ordinated by Mark Prisk MP, Minister for Housing.

Savings on new council contracts

Newly negotiated contracts for grounds maintenance and waste collection will generate combined savings of some £900,000 a year and, in the case of the waste collection contract, expand the range of materials going to recycling. Nick Terdre reports.

Polo Piatti hopes for second International Composers Festival

HOT columnist Sean O’Shea interviews Polo Piatti, the award winning British-Argentine composer, concert pianist, classical improviser and conductor. Polo lives in Hastings and was artistic director of the UK and Europe’s first International Composers Festival. This successful event was held at St Mary in the Castle at the end of August to very popular acclaim.

Dungeness comes to Hastings

Something seems to be stirring at the Stables Art Gallery in Hastings. The gallery has a new curator, Siobhan O’Hanlon, who has been quietly putting on interesting exhibitions reflecting the wealth of artistic talent in and around Hastings. One such is mixed media with the theme of Dungeness  and HOT reporter Lauris Morgan-Griffiths was intrigued. Not least because it is a family affair: two sisters, Denise and Lynda Franklin; and brother/sister-in-law, Henry Binns and Sarah Palmer.
