Last July the ‘anti-terrorist focus desk’ of the City of Westminster police issued a call for members of the public to report any sightings of anarchists immediately. “Anarchism is a political philosophy which considers the state undesirable, unnecessary, and harmful, and instead promotes a stateless society, or anarchy,” they explained, though how that stance made them terrorists or enemies of society was not explained. Fantastic news was announced this week by East Sussex County Council. They have purchased 12 Claremont, the property next door to  the existing library. This will allow refurbishment of The Brassey Institute building and re-locating the Children’s Library from Robertson Passage to become part of the general library.
