Filmmaker Rebecca E. Marshall has created a letter-in-film to her son in 2033 when he will turn eighteen. According to current predictions, this will be the time when humanity will be preparing for the first manned mission to Mars. Zelly Restorick asks Rebecca about her connection with Hastings, film and her inspiration for Fever Of The Light.

Free one day music conference

UnConvention, a free one-day music conference aimed at the grassroots of the industry, returns for the fourth year to Hastings Fat Tuesday Music Festival, taking place on Monday 12 February, 10am–5.30pm in the Sussex Hall, White Rock Theatre, Hastings. Hannah Collisson writes.

The healing power of sound

Having enjoyed the experience, she asked Carolina about her connection with sound and how she arrived in Hastings from Brazil.

The Nature of Things In Hastings

Hastings is to get another local nature reserve in Hastings, its eighth. Hastings Borough Council agreed unanimously at its meeting on Monday (8 January) to declare Ponds Wood a local nature reserve – and to extend the Churchwood local nature reserve
