Transition Town news
This Sunday (4 June) Transition Town Hastings are hosting ‘A Day To Clear Your Shed and Clear Your Head’. 11:00–15:00 at St Leonards Warrior Square railway station.
Join the Transition Town team for a garden swap shop and planting sessions for adults and children. Bring your unwanted garden tools, plants, seeds and other garden related stuff. You can just bring or just take away… or both!
Throughout the day, the team will be planting in unusual containers – please bring old teapots, wellies… Also expect some musicians to drop by and play some tunes, share in a pot of tea and you will be able to try some produce, directly from the garden!
The Big Lunch
On 18 June, the Transition Town team are hosting The Great Get-Together with The Big Lunch from 13:00–16:00 in Warrior Square Gardens. An event catalysed by the death of MP, Jo Cox.
Enjoy a shared picnic lunch with friends and neighbours. Research shows 2/3 people feel happier after chatting to a neighbour! Come and help set up and decorate tables (even bring tables!) from 11am. Or come with food and drinks to share, games and musical instruments to play, chairs to sit on from 1pm.
