Call out for writers

The HOT team are looking for new writers. Scribes who can write eloquently and interestingly about what they care about most in the town. And we’re also looking for people to join our editorial team. HOT’s Zelly Restorick writes.

For example, how do you feel about the changes at the college? Are you a student and your studies have been affected? What do you love about Hastings and St Leonards? Do you want to review books written by local authors? Review bands who reside in the area or are passing through? What about planning? Green spaces? Sport? Education? Health? Entertainment? Local government? What comes into your mind? We’d like to hear from you.

If you’d like to gain some experience in proofreading and publishing and being involved in an online magazine, get in touch. If you are a student in journalism, photo journalism or related subject? Are you an illustrator or cartoonist? We’d like to hear from you.

HOT is a friendly and cooperative organisation with professional writers and editors on our team. We offer a supportive space where you can learn, explore and evolve your writing ability.

We care about Hastings and St Leonards and the wider world. We want you to care too.
