Apprenticeships are usually a strict program that help generate the newest of skills in preparation for your chosen industry. Therefore they are perfect and almost crucial for the new generation of industry workers. The majority of apprenticeships are done whilst in a working environment, which helps bring learners to their full potential. For the more advanced apprenticeships, thorough education is also provided alongside the work which can last over numerous months.

To achieve a greater understanding in your chosen industry, it is always a smart idea to get either an apprenticeship or work experience position first. They enable you to develop skills you wouldn’t otherwise gain in a college course. They give you industry experience.

The vital difference between an apprenticeship and work experience is usually the wage and duration. Whilst apprenticeships provide minimum wage for the placement, work experience placements don’t offer any wage what so ever, only the occasional travel expense. Apprenticeships range in duration, usually several months, whereas work experience placements run over several intense weeks. Sometimes a work experience placement can be of greater use to those unable to give up as much time.
