The Storm Will Pass
The Storm Will Pass, The Spring Will Come. An exhibition of recycled and reassembled ceramic artworks by Susan Elliott. John Knowles writes.
Susan Elliott is a local artist with an international standing, her work being in private collections in Paris, Venice, London and Hong Kong. Her work has also recently appeared in Australian, upcycling magazine, ‘Junkies’, reflecting Susan’s use of found and recycled artefacts, which she carefully reassembles to create stunning three dimensional creations. Her latest work combines folklore and myth, skulls and candlestick people, transformed, as if by enchantment, into the flora and fauna of the hedgerow.
The exhibition will be held in the atmospheric, crypt like, cellar of Borough Wines, reflecting a theme of life, death and resurrection.
