Alexandra Park hosts Mini Chelsea Fringe

A new gardening festival makes its debut in Hastings this weekend when the Mini Chelsea Fringe – the alternative garden festival – is held in Alexandra Park on Sunday. Also part of the event is a talk on parks on Friday evening. Nick Terdre reports, photos by Colin Foy.

Music writer/producer fund launch

The music writer/producer fund is launching it’s first round for 2107. This fund has been established to enable songwriters and writer-producers working in popular music genres to progress their careers and writing/production credits.

Sedlescombe gains life-saving defibrillator

1066 Country Community First Responders (CFR) today unveiled a brand new public access defibrillator in Sedlescombe village. Thanks to donations from the British Heart Foundation, the device has found a home mounted on the external wall of the Queens Head public house. 1066 Country CFR explain how this emergency equipment can save lives.

Local artist Becky Beasley has launched a crowd funding appeal to publish a slim book of her exhibition ‘Ous’ at Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne, before the end of July when the exhibition ends.
