Spin painting exhibition at Zoom Arts gallery
Spin painting, and workshops on how to do it, come to Zoom Arts galley in the run-up to Christmas.
The exponent of spin painting is Jeff Turner. The technique involves spinning the artwork around with the aid of an electric motor, then dripping acrylic paints onto it.
Different effects can be achieved by varying the speed of rotation and the thickness of the paint, Jeff says.
He will mainly be exhibiting works of acrylic on canvas.
Jeff will also hold workshops to demonstrate the technique and let people have a go. These will be free, but anyone wanting to create a larger painting will have to pay the cost of materials.
Exhibition of Spin Painting by Jeff Turner Zoom Arts Gallery, St Leonards Warrior Square Station, Kings Road, St Leonards-on-Sea TN37 6HL. Daily at 12-2pm and 3.30-7pm, Monday 5 to Saturday 24 December.
