The environment and quality of our lives

The theme of Hastings Voluntary Action’s next community network gathering will be the environment: ‘How can improving the environment benefit our health and quality of life?” Please spread the word. Julia Hilton writes.

“This is a good opportunity to get together lots of different voluntary groups from across the town to start a conversation about how we can all join up what we are doing on this issue. Hastings Voluntary Action are an important group to get involved for an eventual Citizens’ Assembly.

“If any of you are involved in a group that you think should be part of this conversation, even – and in fact especially – if that group isn’t directly an environmental one, then do please register for a free place.”

Conversations will be themed around the topics
o Green Space
o Transportation
o Food (sustainable food/food poverty)
o Energy and Housing

“How can improving the environment benefit our health and quality of life?”

Friday 18 October from 9.30 – 1.30 at Horntyne Park Sports Centre, Bohemia Road, Hastings,TN34 1EX.
