Get ready for a Frosty Reception this Saturday
This Saturday, 25 November sees the streets of Central St Leonards come to life for the Towns Fifth annual frost fair and Parade, now a firm favourite in the towns event calendar, the day’s activities will culminate in the switching on of the towns fabulous Christmas light display that was won in a prestigious competition in 2015.
The day starts with the ever popular Kings Road Christmas Market at 10am, where there are gifts and treasures galore to be found, the market stage will be entertaining the crowds from 12 and the ever popular Frost Parade will take to the streets at 1pm, expect this year to be different as more unique and monstrous characters are introduced alongside popular characters such as the snow queen and her entourage and a few surprises on the way too. The parade heads down London Road and around Warrior Square. The organisers, Sussex Concepts CIC, urge the public to use the Warrior Square area for the best vantage point to see the parade.
The festivities continue with dance and singing on the main stage, circus workshops and fun for the children and sideshows along the King’s Road throughout the afternoon and local shops and businesses getting involved with activities and special offers, there’s something for everyone.
The switch on of the lights will be at 4.30 and expect a very different kind of switch on ceremony! So this Saturday make St Leonards-on-Sea THE place to be!!
Organisers would like to thank all those businesses that helped contribute to the lights display and especially thanks to our main supporters, Beauport Park Holidays and Hasting Borough Council, for their contributions to lighting up St Leonards this Christmas.
