Another chance to see ‘Toby Belch is Unwell’
The play, ‘Toby Belch Is Unwell’ will be performed at The Garage at The Horse and Groom with Sidney Kean playing the challenging eponymous role with passion and aplomb. In this instance, John Knowles, local writer, performer and all round creative initiative-taker, sits in the director’s chair. Zelly Restorick writes.
Unfortunately, the last time this play was due to be performed in Hastings, it was cancelled, but luckily another performance has now been arranged. Grab the chance to see ‘Toby Belch Is Unwell’ this month; it’ll be well worth your time and money.
‘Toby Belch is Unwell, beautifully written by John Knowles and passionately performed by Sidney Kean…’ The writing is…’ impeccably and intricately structured. Poignant and resonant’. Emily Carding (Richard The III – Brite Theatre).
Toby Belch Is Unwell: 12 – 14 May at The Garage (through the Horse and Groom, Mercatoria, St Leonards on Sea). 7.30pm. Tickets £10 and £8 concessions.
