Musical mentoring with Tim Rice-Oxley
This is a money-can’t-buy opportunity for young, talented songwriters. Battle Festival patron Tim Rice-Oxley of Keane will provide one-to-one mentoring sessions for eight emerging songwriters aged 10-22.
With his wealth of experience as a recording artist, performer and songwriter, Tim will offer first-hand advice and unique insights into the creative process.
How to apply To be considered for a one-to-one mentoring session with Tim, applicants must upload one track to the Battle Arts & Music Festival soundcloud. It does not need to be a professional recording, but must be an original song that you have written yourself. This opportunity is open to both bands and singer/songwriters aged 10-22 who live in 1066 Country (which stretches from Pevensey in the east to Camber in the west and as far north as Bodiam and Hurst Green).
Uploading your song Add your band name in capitals with a dash ‘–’ in front of the Song Title . Add your postcode, age and a short description of who you are.

All the tracks will be listened to by the festival moderators and Tim. Eight singer/songwriters will be selected to meet with Tim on Friday 24 October for an hour each of mentoring.
Tim will also take part in the expert panel Q & A on Friday 24 October at 6-7.30pm in Battle Memorial Hall.
