Sit back at the all-new Electric Blanket Club
Warm yer cockles this Saturday, 7 January, seeing the latest films from Hastings’ finest filmmakers, at a new event at the Electric Palace, writes Annie Waite.
Lift the spirits in these dark and unsettling times with a boozy celebration of the excellent filmmaking talent we are so lucky to have lurking within our fine town.
The amusingly titled Electric Blanket Club takes place at one of Hastings Old Town’s chic and cosy venues, the Electric Palace cinema, where you can see a selection of recent film offerings and live performances from well-known Hastings dwellers including:
- Glenn Veness
- Nichola Bruce
- Toby Tatum
- Liz Finch
- Rebecca E Marshall (Electric Palace owner and director)
- Oliva Spleen
- Riley+Elizey
- Mauricio Vincenzi and the SLIFF Celluloid Archive.
After the screenings, as part of this new event, the bar at the cinema will be serving special seasonal drinks so revellers can make a night of it and really ditch that January detox in style.
Book your tickets for the all-new Electric Blanket Club, Saturday 7 January at 8pm, Electric Palace, 39A High Street, Hastings TN34 3ER. All tickets £5.
