A Penny Pincher’s Christmas Carol
The writing/performing team of Kate Tym and John Knowles (Rat in the Cellar, Time Please and Hilteria Pizzeria) return to the stage with a brand new family play based on ‘A Christmas Carol’. Those familiar with Dicken’s seasonal classic might recall that there are quite a lot of people in his story, as well as amazing special effects; well not in this version, as ‘A Penny Pincher’s Christmas Carol’ brings you the abridged version with just two actors. What could possibly go wrong? John Knowles writes.
‘A Penny Pincher’s Christmas Carol’ is suitable for all ages from 6+ and involves plenty of audience involvement and chances to shout, ‘Behind you!’. It’s a stodge free, fast paced romp through this well loved story of love and the true meaning of Christmas.
It’s Not Us are delighted to be working with the new bar and foolery, The Palace, the South Coast’s Largest Craft Beer Hall no less, on what we hope will be a series of theatrical events in the new performing area. So if you are not a fan of overpriced panto’s with C list celebrities and you fancy something locally written and produced, with plenty of silliness, then look no further than ‘A Penny Pincher’s Christmas Carol’ at The Palace.
