Volunteer with Hastings charity EFT to gain access to work
If you are looking to volunteer and would like to work in a cafe environment or outdoors in nature, Hastings based support charity, Education Futures Trust (EFT) would love to hear from you. Simone Brookes, Social Media & Publicity Co-ordinator at Education Futures Trust writes.
A volunteer position is currently available to help run the kitchen and assist customers at EFT’s Our Cafe @Ore, based in Ore Community Centre. Full training will be given, plus the chance to gain accredited qualifications such as Level 2 Food and Safety Certificate and First Aid at Work.
In addition, EFT also has volunteer opportunities available for those who enjoy working outside and with a keen interest in conservation. Assisting with various tasks, such as the development of The Firs grounds and Secret Garden project, the opportunity to train and gain accredited qualifications is also available here.
Rae Edwards, Volunteer Co-Ordinator at EFT, comments: “We welcome all applicants for our volunteer positions. Our aim is to speak to each volunteer and form an individual pathway to find them the training they need or want. In the past, we’ve successfully secured funding for two volunteers and our trainee to attend their Level 2 Forest School Assistant course, which was a hugely positive experience for them.”
