Gladiators star ‘Dynamite’ confirmed to play Wendy

Explosive casting completes the White Rock panto

Casting is now complete for The Magical Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan, this year’s panto at The White Rock Theatre this Christmas, with BBC Gladiators star, Dynamite, confirmed for the role of Wendy.

Sea Change’s plans for North Queensway site are timed out

Sea Change Sussex’s application to build business units on its North Queensway Innovation Park has lapsed, and the company looks unlikely to try to revive it. Despite several recent setbacks, it says it has various irons in the fire to keep it occupied in the future. Nick Terdre reports.

Harmonica virtuoso Adam Glasser features at Jazz Hastings

Jazz Hastings’ session on 1 October will feature an instrument which is not seen often enough on the UK jazz scene. Adam Glasser is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading jazz chromatic harmonica players. A virtuoso on the instrument Adam’s playing is eloquent, subtle and constantly inventive (he is a fine pianist as well), says Julian Norridge.

County Councillors given award for ‘climate inaction’ after voting to continue investing in fossil fuels

Edith Festival 2024: Saturday 19 October

For a third year, the Friends of Edith is having a festival in honour of the prime widow of 1066, the partner of slain King Harold. The statue of them in in Grosvenor Gardens, West St Leonards is old but increasingly appreciated. Bernard McGinley reports.

Council provides two sites for community composting hubs

Hastings’ community composting movement has taken another step forward with the provision of two sites in St Leonards on land owned by Hastings Borough Council, taking the total of hubs across the town to nine. Nick Terdre reports.
