Music from around the world

Jazz legend Liane Carroll is one of a group of local musicians who are performing as part of an international concert this Sunday. Hastings-based composer and musician Frank Moon and talented sisters Alice and Juliet Beadle from St Leonards are also among 30 artists from seven countries performing in the Christmas Joy online concert for the Calcutta Rescue charity.

Coronavirus statistical update: Tier 3 looms for Hastings and Rother as infection rates boom

A sharp rise in cases of Covid infection in Hastings and Rother could lead to these areas being subject to Tier 3 restrictions – the toughest in England – when the first review takes place on 16 December. Report and graphics by Russell Hall.
