Coronavirus statistical update: Hastings and Rother into Tier 4 as new variant comes into play

The rapidly worsening state of the coronavirus in Hastings and Rother has led to these areas being placed in a newly created Tier 4, in a move which will wreck many residents’ Christmas plans. Nick Terdre reports, research and graphics by Russell Hall.

Colourful exhibitions at Hastings Contemporary

Hastings Contemporary is open after the latest Lockdown with three stimulating exhibitions. Just because you haven’t heard of an artist doesn’t mean that they aren’t good or that they aren’t well respected somewhere else. Quentin Blake is extremely well known but HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths has to admit she didn’t know the work of artists Lakwena Maciver or Stephen Chambers before. She does now.

Erica Smith visited the Branching Out exhibition and spoke to Emma Harding about her work.
