The St Leonards restaurant and gallery, Graze on Grand, has had two very successful contemporary exhibitions since its opening in early May. HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths went along to see the latest show, Earthworks, with two local artists, Denise Franklin and Bernard McGuigan.
Local writer and artist, Chandra Masoliver talks with master puppeteer and writer, Christopher Leith, whose work-in-progress 3 Stages for Lazarus was recently performed at the White Rock Theatre.

Singer-songwriter, Sarah Jane Morris, is someone whose passion for social issues will appeal to the music lovers and revolutionaries of Hastings and St Leonards. Performing at The Masonic Hall this Friday – 4 September – HOT’s Zelly Restorick spoke to Sarah Jane about her career and her love of Hastings and St Leonards.
Now in its third year, there is still plenty to see of the Electric Palace’s Summer Music Season as it continues throughout September, writes Annie Waite. Rain or shine, these music-themed films will charm music lovers and are once again hosted by acclaimed music journalist and comedy writer David Quantick, who also happens to be a Hastings resident.
HOT’s Sean O’Shea places the spotlight on Hastings Fringe Festival organiser Heather Alexander (HOT, Arts & Culture, Monday, Aug 24, 2015). He talked with her about her background in the theatre, her hopes for the festival and her work as a drama teacher with local youth groups. He also interviewed some of the young people involved in the festival.
