TLC needed for community garden
Transition Town Hastings (TTH) volunteers have created a beautiful community garden at St Leonards Warrior Square Station for everyone to enjoy and to feel able to help themselves to the produce. However, they really could do with some more help in maintaining and nurturing the garden!
TTH are a small, friendly bunch who love welcoming new people, value everyone’s input and would be very happy to listen to a project idea and see if everyone could work together to make it happen. For example, they’d love to develop more quiet spaces to sit and contemplate, make garden ‘furniture’, make recycled chimes, put in shallow water trays for insects and birds and create better paths….
Plus, there’re other – very important – jobs too, like litter picking, planting and weeding…….or making tea!
Tree specialist needed
They also desperately need a tree specialist. Some of their donated fruit trees are not looking too well and they would really appreciate some advice on how to help them recuperate and flourish.
A message from TTH
“Please, please, please come and join us – you don’t have to come every week! The times and days alternate between Saturdays & Sundays. Check out our website for more details on when we are there. Thank you!”
