SOS: Seeking smiley volunteers!
SOS = Sustainability on Sea! Transition Town Hastings & Energise Sussex Coast are holding their first 10 day long Sustainability-on-Sea Festival from 21 – 30 September (full details below) – and are looking for smiley volunteers for their big finale day on 30 September at the Stade. Can you help?
Sustainability on Sea is a micro festival focusing on sustainable initiatives across Hastings and St Leonards. The aim is to promote a sustainable future encouraging positive behaviour change and supporting and promoting those who are playing their role towards this goal.
The Big Green Fair celebration day of all things sustainable runs from 11am – 4pm, using the Stade Open Space, the Stade Hall, the Stade kitchen – and the Jerwood gallery will be involved too. There will be stalls, workshops, music, food, demonstrations, talks and various crazy activities going on, so there will be lots to keep an eye on and assist with! The more people who volunteer, the less each one has to do – and the more you can enjoy the whole day yourselves! Contact Transition Town Hastings: info@transitiontownhastings.org.uk
The festival is co-ordinated by Energise Sussex Coast and Transition Town Hastings and is supported by the Foreshore Charitable Trust and Interreg North West Europe (as part of the Climate Active Neighbourhoods project).
