Meet Abbi Riddihough

Abbi is dressed for a party in this picture to celebrate the birth of Martin Luther King. She describes her outfit as “southern Baptist”.

“I usually wear a mixture of punk and mod clothes. My style influences are Joan Jet and Samantha from Bewitched; the 1960/70s sit com. I also take inspiration from the sets and clothes of the film Clockwork Orange. My favourite item of clothing is my hat.

I live in St Leonards which I love because of its great party atmosphere and because of the lovely friends I have here. I am a single mother of two children, who keep me busy and for fun I ride motorbikes.

I buy most of my clothes from jumble sales and the shop I love is the book shop in London Road, St Leonards, it’s such a great place because you can buy things like a 1950s snoopy book for £1.”
