Six-a-side footie season kicking off at Horntye
Want to take your friendly football knockabouts to a higher level? A new six-a-side season is about to start in Hastings. Nick Terdre reports.
A new season of six-a-side football kicks off in February at Horntye Sports Complex courtesy of Football Mundial, which tells HOT there are vacancies for new teams.
Matches in the 3G league are scheduled for every Wednesday evening under the watchful eye of FA referees. They are played in 40-minute slots between 7 and 9pm under floodlight on the complex’s Astroturf pitches. Footballs are provided.
Registration is free. As well as a free set of shirts; new teams also get their first game free. Thereafter the price is £30 per week per team. There are several divisions, so all standards are catered for.
There is also a vacancy in the 10-team Premier League which is already under way.
If your team is interested in joining, visit the Football Mundial website, write to info@footballmundial.com or call 01937 841440. Up-to-date league tables, fixtures and results can also be found on the website.
