Last year’s Kings Road lights going up
Lighten up for Christmas!
The Kings Road lights will be switched on by St Leonards’ favourite celebrity, the fabulous and charming Maria McErlane. Lighting up time is 4.30pm on Saturday 1 December – a wonderful way to end the Frost Fair. Erica Smith gets ready for the big switch on.
St Leonards will be en Fête all day on Saturday 1 December. The Frost Fair market opens at 10am and there will be street entertainment from noon. The Frost Parade will set off at 1pm and parade around the town centre.
The Frost Fair and parade have been popular features of the St Leonards Calendar for several years now, and this will be the fourth year of the Christmas lights.
The installation of the lights is a significant expense and St Leonards Town Team has been busy fundraising. This Friday, 23 November, there is the second dance night at the Masonic Hall – the £5 entry fee goes towards the cost of the lights. It’s a great opportunity to have a good time whilst doing a good turn!
If you appreciate the Christmas lights and can afford to donate towards the installation, please visit Frances in Calneva, 13 Kings Road and contribute towards the costs.
