Sussex Street Food Festival returns to The Stade!
Get your knives and forks at the ready as the Sussex Street Food Festival returns to The Stade for a second consecutive year, this May 25-27. HOT’s Jordan Dixon writes.
If you attended the event last year and are already salivating at the thought of tucking into some tasty treats once again, go ahead and book your FREE ticket here! Or at the risk of teasing your tastebuds, read on and learn more about what to expect.
The festival is the fruit of the Street Food Warehouse. Initially organising simple events in 2015, the group expanded their appetite by hosting their first festival in Ilfracombe, Devon, in 2016. Since then, they have gone on to showcase the culinary creations of the UK’s best food vendors in a variety of venues across the South of England and Wales.
2019 promises to be the biggest and best year yet for the Warehouse as they roll through Hastings this coming Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 25th to Monday 27th, 12-10pm daily.
The event is being sponsored by Encona, “the UK’s number one hot pepper sauce brand,” and has already confirmed vendors such as the famous CaPhe Republic, Polentista, Manjula, Chopper Whoppers and The Tipsy Texan. To help soak down their delicious offerings, a variety of cold beverages will be on tap courtesy of the Pop Up Bar Hire Company. And rest assured that every foodie will be catered for with a variety of vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian vendors present.
Event organiser Tudor Barber said of his excitement at returning to Sussex: “We are really pleased to be bringing the team back to lovely Hastings for a second year of foodie fun in the sun! Sussex Street Food Festival 2019 is going to be a huge one, watch this space!”
So to sample some of the finest street foods around, from spicy Vietnamese morsels, tantalising Thai to crunchy, doughy churros, mark your calendars and follow the sweet and sour aromas down to The Stade this 25-27 May!
The Sussex Street Food Festival comes to The Stade, Hastings TN34 3DW Saturday 25-Monday 27 May, 12-10pm daily.
