BAFTA and Oscar-winning adaptation of the Martin Amis novel of the same name, tells the true story of he commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss, and his wife Hedwig, strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp. This incandescent film portrays the idyllic life that the family of Nazi commandant Rudolf Hoss enjoyed in a sumptuous house right next to the concentration camp in Auschwitz right in the middle of the Holocaust.

There is very little soundtrack and it all unfolds at a deliberate pace that is in keeping with Jonathan Glazer’s slow-burn, disquieting style. Starring Sandra Huller and Christian Friedl this Oscar-winning gem is a must-see.
