Crossing The Screen: Sussex-Made Shorts

As part of the 9th Crossing the Screen Eastbourne International Film Festival, we’re proud to present a special showcase of Sussex filmmakers and emerging young directors.

Director: Various

90 mins approx / 2024 / UK

This exclusive screening celebrates the innovation and unique voices emerging from the region, offering audiences a chance to experience compelling narratives, thought-provoking themes, and bold artistic expression.

We’re thrilled to feature talented directors, including Malindi Asuncion with I Think God Lives in Eastbourne, a visual exploration of the cycles of life and death in the town of Eastbourne. Kezia Feinson Dwyer presents Making Gains, an insightful analysis of the relentless cycle of online comparison.

Returning filmmaker Steven Lancefield brings a powerful new work addressing domestic abuse through emotional bullying, designed to make victims feel afraid, controlled, and humiliated.

The showcase also includes fantastic student productions from emerging young directors:

Jasmine Kaur Gregory – A Well-Bred Woman
Charlotte Button – Dressing Room
Madeleine Rose Marsh – The After Party
Wojtek Perales – The Power to Decide
Keith Chanakira – The Script

Don’t miss this opportunity to support local talent and enjoy an evening of outstanding cinema!
