Art show in Pett to raise funds for local lifeboat
A charity art show has been arranged for Sunday 18 August by TN35 Artists to raise funds for the Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat. Nick Terdre reports.
The show, which will be held at Pett Level Rescue Boat House, will feature works by members of TN35 Artists. These are all local talented people, the organisers say, and the works are all original paintings, although there will be some prints available in the browser racks plus a selection of original cards.
Founded in 1971, Pett Level Rescue Independent Boat Association is a registered charity solely funded by donations and fundraising events which TN35 Artists have supported for a number of years.
An independent organisation, it oftens works in conjunction with the RNLI and the coastguards. Its boats attend incidents along the hazardous coast between Hastings and Rye where lives may be at risk. All members are volunteers who are on call 365 days a year and meet weekly to train and practise scenarios.
Sale of Art by TN35 Artists on Behalf of Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat Sunday 18 August, 10am-4pm. Pett Level Rescue Boat House, Pett Level.
