Coming gigs for The Fabulous Red Diesel
We are madly busy at the moment getting ready for the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. We’re playing on Friday 3 May at The Frog and Fiddle in Cheltenham. Its a free gig, and we’re finishing the Friday night off with a bang! Its our third year there and we are looking forward to it very much.
Our new album, Goddess The Seahorse, got played on several shows on Jazz FM, and even made track of the week on Dinner Jazz. We have sold all the CDs we had, and are doing a second run!
Closer to home, we are doing our first ever Solstice party in one of our favourite venues in Hastings, The Beacon. Its on Friday 21 June, doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Our theme is ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, and we would love to see as many Titanias and Bottoms as you can muster! There will be fire and food available, plus a bar with a cocktail named after us – and they’ll definitely be a prize for the best costume. The first set is going to be entirely downtempo and new songs, then back to party business in the second . Tickets are on sale at

And you can win a pair of tickets if you sign up to the mailing list, and wait for the question!
Gig at The Beacon
We went back to Upstairs at Ronnie’s in February, with our trusty 247 minibus full of fans, and sold the venue out yet again! What we hadn’t realised was that we couldn’t drive up to the door, as it was Chinese New Year and Ronnie Scott’s is slap bang in the middle of Chinatown. So we had to park 10 minutes away, and our gorgeous fans helped to carry the equipment: full drum kit, tuba, double bass, I mean everything! It was a pretty unique way to turn up to a gig!!
Ronnie Scott’s is about to be refurbished, so we won’t be going back until it’s done, which is uncertain at the moment — probably early next year.

And finally we are back at Jazz on the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells on Thursday 9 May — and its another chance to win tickets: 2 sets this time: just join the mailing list, and wait for the weekly mailout!
Ooh, and Lullabies has returned! My one-woman show which ran through covid lockdown times has returned in the flesh, and online at the same time! I will be at The Sovereign in Bexhill every other Wednesday. And I am also doing a special Lullabies session at Mike’s place in St Leonards on the Wednesday 8 May at 7:30pm. Tickets available here
May 8th – Lullabies w/ Miss Kitty Live | Mike’s List
Mike’s place is a VERY special place: grand piano, and bring your own booze. It’s beautiful inside, just the right sort of place for me to spin my yarns!
I think that’s all for now!
