Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band.

Steeleye Span’s renowned singer Maddy Prior joins up once again with the Carnival Band during the festive season for their unique celebratory show Carols and Capers, stopping off at St Mary in the Castle, Hastings, at 7.30pm on Friday 19 December.

The Carnival Band is made up of five musical explorers, five voices, 25 instruments and 500 fresh ideas for making joyous music.

Together with Maddy they mix renaissance, modern and ethnic instruments with a refreshing cavalier attitude and plenty of humour, putting their inimitable stamp on a range of familiar favourites that will undoubtedly include The Boars Head, Away in a Manger, Wassail, Joy to the World, While Shepherds Watched and I Saw Three Ships.

All auditorium seats have now been sold but balcony seats at £19.50 are still available, ONLY from 01323 841414 and Music’s Not Dead in Bexhill. Please note that tickets cannot be bought in advance at St Mary in the Castle.
