Musicians take part in webinar: from left, Petrocelli, Marciano, Paoli, Piatti and Poole.

‘Global Conversations’ among musicians

Some distinguished musicians will be sharing thoughts and plans online during this time of self-isolation, not only on the future of the music industry but much more on the value of music in human life as a whole, writes Chris Cormack

Star pianist and Opus Theatre patron, Olive Poole, will join forces with Polo Piatti, Hastings’ own composer, founder of Opus Theatre as a music venue and prime animator of music events in Hastings. The first live webinar under the auspices of ‘Global Conversations’ discussing the impact of music in today’s world will be held on 30 May at 5pm British Summer Time (GMT + 1) on Facebook and Instagram.

Some very special musicians from around the world will be conversing in this first episode. These include Classic Brit Award Nominee singer Carly Paoli, ‘EMMA For Peace’ founder Paolo Petrocelli and conductor and impresario Gianluca Marciano.
