Deconstruct Yourself
Deconstruct Yourself: A Deconstructed Rave on Friday 1 December at The De La Warr Pavilion, where Graham Dunning and three other artists – Joanne Armitage, Tom Richards and Leslie Deere – will take over the building to present an evening of live music and visual performance.
Performed in the round, the audience have the chance to get up-close and personal with the machines as they help us rave to mechanical techno.
The event will include three sculptural, sonic installations, placed around the public areas of the building and a live music performance, with projected visuals, in the DLWP auditorium foyer space which dismantles and reconstructs the process and foundations beneath bass-lines and rhythms. Everything used by these artists is hacked and torn. Machines are rewired to share control.
